Ennui stands as the greatest of sins
Or languorously reclines
In crumbling palace old
To truth and beauty cold
Impassive to the horrors ‘round
Bodies bleeding on the ground
When life loses its savor
And chewing gum its flavor
And passion and prosody irregular alike
Ferrent tuo gmban da locohol
No idea how far to fall
Even if you don’t start out that high
Coffin worm and child’s first tooth
Inflicting pain for dramatic effect
Nonsense posing as depth
And dear enthusiasms cloy
No pleasures to enjoy
Exposed to rank annoy
Far short of true distress
Faint hints of bitterness
Commit to nothing wholly
For angel voices foley
For thought and feeling null
For masterpieces dull
Turn from muse and organ Calliope
And heed this potent recipe
Resort to arcane signs
Aesthetics of the bad
Slurp slurp
Smell the freshest decadence
Distract from hateful impotence
Weak bones and ruined face
The death in life embrace
